What file formats do you support?
We support PDF, DOCX (Microsoft Word), TXT (plain text), Markdown, PPTX (PowerPoint), XLSX (Excel), JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) and PNG document images files. TXT, Markdown and DOCX uploads come back in the format you uploaded — same content, with whitespace tidied up — and TXT and Markdown uploads also include an editable Word version free. Markdown keeps its headings, lists, tables and code blocks. For PDF uploads, the editable Word document is the main deliverable. A PDF layout preview is experimental; original PDF formatting is not preserved. PowerPoint: An editable PPTX with translated slide text, tables and speaker notes. Pictures stay unchanged. Excel: An editable XLSX with translated text cells. Numbers, supported formulas and protected identifiers stay unchanged. Image: Translated text in an editable DOCX, with a beta PDF when available. Original image pixels stay unchanged.
How is the price calculated?
Pricing is based on document size and the plan you choose. Minimum prices are $6.99 for Basic and $9.99 for Premium. Upload your document to see the exact quote before payment.
Will the formatting be preserved?
DocuGlot is designed to preserve document structure and formatting. Complex layouts can vary. PDF translation is in beta: your main download is an editable Word document, and the experimental PDF layout preview may contain formatting errors.
How long does translation take?
Translation time varies depending on document length—from a few minutes for shorter documents to a few hours for larger ones. You'll receive an email notification when your translation is ready.
What's the difference between Basic and Premium?
Premium uses our most advanced AI model which provides better context understanding, more natural-sounding translations, and handles complex technical documents better. Basic uses a faster model which is more cost-effective for simpler documents.
Is my document secure?
Your files are transferred and stored securely, then processed by the services needed to provide translation. See our Privacy Policy for details on service providers and file retention.
Can I translate to multiple languages at once?
Yes. Batch translation supports up to 10 files and 10 target languages, with up to 50 file-language translations in one checkout. Each file is translated separately into each selected language, with individual download links sent by email. You can also translate one document into one language using the standard form.

How accurate is the AI translation?
Our AI translations are highly accurate, especially for general business and personal documents. For critical legal or medical documents, we recommend professional human review. Premium tier offers superior accuracy for complex content.
What languages do you support?
We support over 100 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, and many more. Both common and rare languages are available.
